CAVE POINT PARK KAYAK TOUR
We’ll launch our kayaks just north of Cave Point Park and begin our paddle down the beautiful, rocky shores of Lake Michigan. On the way to the caves, you’ll learn about the Niagara Escarpment, a geologic formation that runs hundreds of miles through our state and beyond, forming a great circle all the way to Niagara Falls at the New York-Canada border. Along the escarpment you can explore crevasses, caves, and rockfalls, see beautiful rock formations, or search for fossils, Indian artifacts, rare plants and animals. This tour is great for all levels of paddlers. Whether you’re a beginner or expert, you’ll love this world famous geological feature and the memories are sure to last you a lifetime.
Itinerary:
Your Door County Kayak Tour adventure begins by meeting near the kayak launch! One of our knowledgeable and experienced guides will be there to welcome you and get you outfitted with a PFD and paddle. Once you are all properly outfitted, your guide will go walk you through a dry land paddle lesson. Next, you will get situated and comfortable in your Sit-On-Top Kayak before heading out into the Lake Michigan and down the coast to the Caves. Your guide will take this time to make sure that you are situated correctly and comfortably in your kayak. Take in the beauty of the Door Peninsula as you search the land and water for sign of wildlife. Your guide will take photos of you along your journey.

Swimsuit, lightly layered synthetic clothing, wind breaker or fleece, change of clothes, towel, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, waterproof camera, mosquito repellent, water, and a smile!
