Door County Fireworks Celebration 2015 This Weekend

If you’re into things going BOOM BOOM and BAM BAM then hello, Door County here you come! Seriously, ditch your hometown’s local fireworks show and fly to Door County (literally, it’s Friday afternoon!). For those of you who want a quick debriefing… Friday Night (tonight), the sky lights up in two places: Egg Harbor and Maple Wood. And that’s just today, the 3rd of July. On the 4th, now we’re talking a competition between each town. Baileys Harbor, Sturgeon Bay, Gills Rock, Washington Island, and Fish Creek are all having firework shows just to show-up the neighboring village or town. Bring your camera, because I will be and try and capture whatever you want to remember. I’ll be capturing the way it all makes me feel (and perhaps I will post them later on this post).

For other good times try the Local Door County Website  for unique events.

There’s something about the moment of capture. A satisfactory “Click”. And there is the evidence; A file mapping our existence. More than once the image becomes a favorite, one of the few (or many) moments that were worth taking the effort to capture.

Door County’s favorite outdoor adventure companies, Door County Kayak Tours and Gravity Trails are experiences we want to have last forever, and so will you after your tour! We offer Kayak and Zipline tours and are more than happy to assist you in taking pictures. Ask your guide to snap a few or take your camera out on the tour. We also have GoPro rentals if you want to make an awesome movie or two. Our guides generally take their cameras or phones out (in waterproof cases of course!) in hopes of capturing an awesome moment or two to post on our instagram: @gravitytrails and @doorcountykayak. Tag us and we will post it on our instagram and get you some publicity. Book your kayak and zipline tour today (kayak and zipline combo available for $85 cash). Hope to see you under the bright sparks of the fireworks tonight. Happy Holidays and vacation to you!

Until then,
