Cabin Fever Anyone?

Activities Adventures Door County Door County WI Guides

As the winter rolls into February, I am always itching to get outside and do something active. Perhaps it’s those summer memories of climbing the rock wall up to the zip line, flying through the trees, or paddling on a hot summer day that always draws out the cabin fever in me. With the recently frigid weather here in Minneapolis, a fifteen degree day seemed to provide a rather pleasant opportunity to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. So today I decided to grab my crampons, ice tools, climbing gear, and of course… my climbing buddies and set up a few top ropes for some awesome ice climbing.

It turns out I wasn’t the only one to get outside today. In fact, my family had the same idea; well the getting outside part at least. They had a wonderful day at Whitefish Dunes State Park making their mark on the cross country ski trails back in Door County.
